Cromia is the synthesis of Fabriano's papermaking tradition combined with and the most advanced colour technology.
The range is available in 10 soft and bright colours, carefully researched and developed to enhance the work of the most demanding artists.
Cromia paper is mould made with 50% cotton and 50% alpha-cellulose.
This streamlined process gives the paper characteristics, similar to those of handmade paper.
The deckle edges are the most visible proof of this. The cotton provides softness and strength.
The quality of the pigments ensures maximum colour lightfastness, guaranteeing that works created on this paper do not fade.
This guarantee is further strengthened by the fact that no optical brighteners are used in the formulation of the paper.
Naturally, Cromia is produced in a neutral and acid-free environment according to the principles of the ISO 9706 (Long Life) standard, which guarantees a long life.
Its slightly rough surface makes it ideal for pastels, sanguine and all drawing techniques.
The colours blend with those of the paper, offering endless creative possibilities that stimulate the imagination.
Thanks to its grammage (220 g/m2) and good wet strength, Cromia is also suitable for wet techniques and a combination of different techniques on the same sheet.
Its versatility enables excellent results even with traditional printmaking techniques.
